Obituary for Joseph Charbonneau

June 10, 1932 – April 21, 2017
Peacefully, with his family by his side at the North Shore Health Network, Blind River on Friday April 21, 2017. Joe Charbonneau in his 85th year, beloved husband of the late Lynn Charbonneau. Loving father of Andy ( Veronica ) of Algoma Mills and Gail Traynor ( Ken Shannon ) of Blind River. Special Captain Joe to Colin ( Angela ), Ian ( Martina ), Tracy-Lyn Traynor, Andrea Smith ( Stuart ), Kevin ( Krystle ) and Keith and Great Grandfather to Autumn, Kaytlan, Erica, Jacob, Keiran, Hazel and Riley. Dear brother of Jack and Rheal, Jacqueline and the late Conrad and Rene. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. Joe was a member of the Spragge Yacht Club and enjoyed cruising the waters of Lake Huron aboard The Spray II. For many years he managed auto sales at Highway Motors and Algoma Chrysler. Joe served on the local school board and acted as campaign manager for Dr Maurice Foster. In lieu of service, it was Joe's request that he be remembered for the happy times . The family would like to thank Dr. Bradford & Dr Nacarrato & nursing staff for their compassionate care. Donations to the North Shore Health Network Foundation – Hospice Care gratefully accepted.
