Kennepohl, Marie-Thérèse (nee Legault)
Passed away peacefully with her children by her side on October 31, 2018 at Health Sciences North Sudbury in her 77th year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Karl and was loved and will be missed by her children Christopher, Elizabeth Ainsworth Bester (Phillip), Robert (Natalie) and André (Tabatha), her grandchildren Emily, Megan, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Sophie, Alexandre and Nicolas and her great grandson Jaden. She is survived by her sister Gertrude Lemieux (Gilles), her brothers Deacon Justin Legault (Dianne) and Philippe Legault (Cheryl), her brothers-in-law Gerhard, Johannas (Suzie), Uli, Georg and Bernhard (Lizette) and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Donat and Florence, her brothers Jean-Pierre and The Reverend Father Bernard Legault and her sisters-in-law Evemarie and Carmen.
Marie-Thérèse was affectionately known to her family as “Trousse”. A devoted and loving family oriented wife and mother, she was Pinterest before Pinterest existed. She loved to do special projects for her children and grandchildren filling her days with knitting, crocheting and baking. She grew up and raised her family in Blind River where she was an instrumental partner in the family business. A woman with strong faith who loved singing, she participated in her church as a long-time member of the St James the Greater Parrish choir.
A special thank you to her niece Hélène for her hospitality over the past few years and to the staff at St. Joseph’s General Hospital and St. Joseph’s Manor in Elliot Lake and Health Sciences North in Sudbury for their loving care in her final days.
Donations can be made to a local charity of your choice and are appreciated by the family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. James the Greater Parrish on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11am with Father Ignatius Xavier and Deacon Justin Legault officiating. A light luncheon will be served in the church basement following funeral mass. Arrangements entrusted to Menard Funeral Home www.menardfh.com
