May 24, 1935 – December 25, 2022
With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother at the Algoma Manor at the age of 87. Devoted and loving wife of Kenneth for 69 years. Treasured mother of Richard (Lise), David (Kim), Roxie Demers (Marc) and Vivian Aschwanden (Bernard). Adored grandmother of Brian (Claudia), Leah Kirby (Christopher), Ryan (Andrea), Michael (Joses), Jeffery (Michelle), Nathan Gilmour (Kayla), Rowan Cole (Cayden), Noah Viitala. Loving great grandmother of Yasmine and Emilia Maeck, Isaac, Benjamin, Jacob and Timothy Kirby, Ava and Mia Maeck, Cassie and Aubrey Maeck, Quinn Maeck and Adelaide Cole.
Sheila was all about Family. Her life with Ken, her children and grandchildren meant more to her than anything else. One of Ken and Sheila’s passions was to host family at their lake home on Manitoulin Island where they brought everyone together with food and family games. She was very involved in the Anglican Church and in many organizations in her community. She will surely be missed.
The family would like to acknowledge the staff of Algoma Manor for their warm and loving care.
