Brooke is the owner/managing funeral director for Beggs and Menard Funeral Homes and Driftwood Cremation Centre. Brooke graduated Humber College as a Class 1 Funeral Director in 2018.  A valuable asset to our company, families have come to love and appreciate her compassion, care and attention to detail. 

Brooke was born in Thessalon and raised in both Thessalon and Spanish.  She returned home in 2018 and is honoured to serve families along the North Shore.

Zak graduated Humber College as a Class 1 Funeral Director in 2012.  A seasoned veteran in funeral services, Zak recently joined the Beggs and Menard Funeral Homes after 12 years of serving families in Sault Ste Marie.  He brings a tremendous level of experience and professional acumen to the team. 


Zak was born and raised in Desbarats and currently lives in Blind River.  He is enjoying getting to know the community and is honoured to serve the local families.

Marilyn graduated Humber College and is a licensed Funeral Pre-Planner. She is available to assist you in pre-planning your funeral or to answer any questions you may have about the pre-planning process. In addition to her pre-planning duties, Marilyn is a valuable team member and assists in the day-to-day operations of the funeral homes and crematorium. 


Marilyn is a lifelong resident of Desbarats and served 30 years with the Ontario Provincial Police.  She is grateful to continue her service to the community in this new role.
